Studs on studs on studs featuring Serum No. 5 Barely There Barely there is a lovely sheer nude polish featuring silver glitter of varying sizes. Shown is three coats but I think it looks a lot better if you stick to one or two coats so it’s still sheer. And like all of the other Serum No. 5 polishes I’ve tried, the formula was great. Serum No. 5 Happy Special Day and BornPrettyStore Glow in the Dark #02 [[MORE]] First up we have Happy Special Day, seen here with two coats. I really like this one because it has glitter in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and colors. It would definitely look great over any polish. It is a bit thick so the dabbing method may be the best way to go when applying it.  I’ve shown Glow in the Dark #02 with two coats over a white base. In the bottle and on the nail it has a green tint but in the dark it glows blue, and a really bright blue at that. To take the picture in the dark I let my nails ‘charge’ in natural light for about a minute. Glitter gradient with Serum No. 5 Spring Into Love and China Glaze Go Go Pink, because who doesn’t love a glitter gradient?  Spring into love is a “pink glitter polish with opalescent flakies, micro shimmer, gold glitter, and fine purple glitter.” It’s also described as a pink version of Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream, which I think is a pretty accurate description. Glow in the dark nail polish is awesome, can we all just agree on this? Yes? Good.

I really like doing designs with glow in the dark polish because then it looks even cooler in the dark! For this design I used Serum No. 5 Dayglow and Love & Beauty Blue (great job naming your polishes, Forever 21). The trick to glow in the dark polishes is layering them over white because it helps them look brighter in the dark. I used two thickish coats over white. For the picture I let it “charge” in the sun for a few seconds and as you can see it doesn’t take much for this to glow pretty bright!

I made and jelly sandwich and it was delicious. For those that don’t know a jelly sandwich is where you layer glitter between coats of a jelly polish to make the glitter look like it’s suspended in the polish.  The jelly is China Glaze Ride the Waves and the glitter is Serum No. 5 Thanks for the Memories (which is really just Black Paradox and White Paradox mixed together). (Also, this picture is from my phone! Not too shabby, right? Still haven’t found my camera charger.)

Woo black and white glitter woo! [[MORE]] Sorry not sorry I just really love black and white glitter. Pictured is Serum No. 5 Thanks For the Memories over China Glaze Ride the Waves, which is a wonderful blue jelly. Serum No. 5 has a black glitter polish (Black Paradox) and a white glitter polish (White paradox) and Thanks For the Memories is just the two mixed together! Thanks For the Memories isn’t for sale but the other two are. :) Pictured is one thick coat of Thanks For the Memories so you can see that it’s packed with glitter of all different shapes an sizes. Serum No. 5 Peachy Keen Pictured is two coats of Peachy Keen, a nude based polish with a gold shimmer and gold hex glitter. One thing I really like about this polish is that you can layer it over another polish or it can stand on it’s own. One coat is pretty sheer but after a second coat it’s opaque!
