Trying to take a good picture of your nails without the group of people you’re with noticing is quite difficult, but I think I was successful. At least in the them not noticing part.
Pictured is Rainbow Honey The Worst Possible Thing over Finger Paints Beach Bound.
Also pictured is part of my school, for anyone that was curious! The first building is a brand new LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified building where all of my culinary labs are, and the second is the rec center and green space where people can just hang out :)
Glitter gradient with Serum No. 5 Spring Into Love and China Glaze Go Go Pink, because who doesn’t love a glitter gradient?
Spring into love is a “pink glitter polish with opalescent flakies, micro shimmer, gold glitter, and fine purple glitter.” It’s also described as a pink version of Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream, which I think is a pretty accurate description. It’s definitely a gorgeous polish!
Spring Into Love can be purchased here. If you have any questions regarding her polish you can find Serum No. 5 on Facebook, Tumblr, and Etsy. Also, every month Serum No. 5 will make a donation to the Make A Wish Foundation in an amount equal to 20% of the proceeds of all lacquers sold.

I found my camera charger! I have to admit that I was really close to buying a new camera (I really hate the one I have right now). Unfortunately one of the books I need for class I have to buy new and it set me back $150 so that wasn’t happening. So I’m really glad I found my charger. :)
I’m leaving for college on Thursday! I’m both excited and nervous and posting will be kind of sporadic. As much as I would love to I’m not going to shut myself in my room and constantly paint my nails for the first few weeks of school as I would like to make friends- BUT nail art is a great conversation starter so I will make an effort to keep up with doing designs!
Also, if anyone is in the Providence area and knows of great places to eat/visit/buy cheap nail polish please let me know!
Also also, I have photo reply on so reply with a photo of your nails right now- whether they be naked or bedazzled!
Side note: I’ve noticed that I always loose followers when I make texts posts and.. well..

Update: I tried using glue as a basecoat for a really chunky glitter and it totally worked! I just followed what this person did. I don’t have any orange sticks but I have this metal cuticle pusher thing that I used instead- making sure to be gentle! Also I didn’t make the glue too thick so I wasn’t able to peel all of it off in one piece, but my fingers are currently 99% glitter free and they haven’t even been touched with remover or acetone!
Guys,
guys.
Do you realize what this means? Glitter whenever we want! No worries about removal! Happy cuticles!
I’m not sure how long it lasts, but you do have to work a little bit to get the polish to start peeling so your polish probably isn’t going to fall right off from day to day activities. I’m thinking about this mainly for swatching though, because it kills my cuticles. Now I can do way more than 2-4 polishes in one day!
Essence came out with a basecoat that you can peel off.
I need it.
I must have it.
No more foil method when removing glitter.
My cuticles are already rejoicing.
Does anyone know where I can buy it? If you’ve seen it in stores please let me know, especially if you’re in the Providence area!
Edit: Apparently you can just use PVA glue and get the same results! Oh my gosh I’m so excited I’m tempted to go look for glue in my house and try right now.
This. Changes. Everything.
Glow in the dark nail polish is awesome, can we all just agree on this? Yes? Good.
I really like doing designs with glow in the dark polish because then it looks even cooler in the dark! For this design I used Serum No. 5 Dayglow and Love & Beauty Blue (great job naming your polishes, Forever 21). The trick to glow in the dark polishes is layering them over white because it helps them look brighter in the dark. I used two thickish coats over white. For the picture I let it “charge” in the sun for a few seconds and as you can see it doesn’t take much for this to glow pretty bright!
Dayglow was sent to me for review. If you have any questions for can find Serum No. 5 on Facebook, Tumblr, and Etsy.
Metametics Uriel
Shown is two coats of Uriel over Finger Paints Beach Bound. Uriel is part of an Archangels mini collection which is currently not for sale because of expensive/hard to find ingredients. Which is really sad because look how pretty! Its a holo and a duochrome that shifts from blue to pink!

The duochrome is more evident in the shade and the holo really comes out in the sun.
Metametics can be purchased here. If you have any questions regarding her polish you can find Metametics on Facebook, Tumblr, and of course Etsy.
