This is a really old picture that I took forever to put up because I legitimately don’t have a life anymore.
This features two coats of Serum No 5 Pretty Blue, which is a cute polish containing purple and blue glitter of various sizes in a clear base. It’s fairly basic so I don’t have much else to say about it. I think this would look great over dark colors and galaxy nails.

So this happened today during my meatcutting lab, where you are almost guaranteed to cut yourself.

Speaking of labs, I’m really sorry about not posting in forever. Currently I am in labs, which is where you have the same 6 hour class for 9 days, take the final/practical on the 9th day, then begin a new lab. Normally we don’t have class on Friday, which would mean I could post on the weekends, but we have had friday labs every week since thanksgiving. In addition to that I am working and taking extra classes. Winter break is coming up though and I will definitely post more then! (just probably with my other hand)

First up we have Happy Special Day, seen here with two coats. I really like this one because it has glitter in all sorts of shapes, sizes, and colors. It would definitely look great over any polish. It is a bit thick so the dabbing method may be the best way to go when applying it.
I’ve shown Glow in the Dark #02 with two coats over a white base. In the bottle and on the nail it has a green tint but in the dark it glows blue, and a really bright blue at that. To take the picture in the dark I let my nails ‘charge’ in natural light for about a minute. I think it’s important to note that it was cloudy out, showing just how much light these soak up.

Studded v gap featuring Zoya Yara and 1.5 mm gold studs from the bornprettystore.
These studs are so tiny! It makes then tricky to work with but I feel like you can just do so much more with smaller studs. I really love how the v gap turned out and I had so many people asking me how I did them. Studs are definitely a great way to pump up any mani. Even my roommate’s boyfriend was impressed, and I always see it as a great compliment when guys are amazed by my nails. (Fun fact: He also picked up the bag of studs and asked “What are these, nail nipples?”) These are held in place with nail glue and are secured with a top coat.

Serum No. 5 Starry Nights
a.k.a galaxy nails without even trying. Boom.

Shown is two coats of Starry Nights over a navy blue base. I was honestly so excited when I saw this polish because it’s my first polish with novelty glitter. Is that what it’s called? Well that’s what I’m going to call it because it sounds better than “glitter that isn’t shaped like what most glitter is usually shaped like”. Starry nights is described as having “silver holographic stars, off white, gold, lavender and sapphire glitter in a shimmering deep blue base.”
Oh my goodness beautiful. That’s all I have to say.
Starry Nights can be purchased here. If you have any questions regarding her polish you can find Serum No. 5 on Facebook, Tumblr, and Etsy. Also, every month Serum No. 5 will make a donation to a charity of her choice in an amount equal to 20% of the proceeds of all lacquers sold. The November charity is No Kid Hungry.

With all of the crazy weather we’ve been having in New England lately, I thought it was only appropriate to do nail art featuring Serum No. 5 Stormy Weather.

Stormy Weather is a lovely polish featuring “micro white glitter, purple glitter, navy hex and silver lightning bars in a holographic gray base”. It’s from the Fall collection and I’d say it’s one of my favorites out of the bunch. I really love the blue/purple/grey combination. Shown is two coats over a navy blue base.
